Category: midas mr18
Allen & Heath’s Qu-SB is an exceptionally compact digital mixer tailored for iPad control. This innovative mixer allows you the freedom to mix from any location within the venue, making it an ideal portable solution for bands, AV setups, and installations. Accompanying the Qu-SB is the Qu-Pad app, offering an elegant and intuitive interface for mixing, which provides easy access to the extensive features and setup options of the Qu series.
While the Qu-SB boasts 18 onboard inputs and 14 outputs, it is expandable up to 32 mono inputs and 24 outputs by connecting to one of Allen & Heath's remote audio racks via a single Cat5 cable. This flexibility, combined with the Qu-You personal monitoring app available for Android and iOS, as well as the ME-1 personal mixers, makes the Qu-SB a superb choice for bands wanting consistent monitor sound, no matter the venue's size.
Fully designed to work in harmony with the Qu-Pad app, the Qu-SB provides rapid and easy access to all essential settings, including channel processing, meters, RTA views, effects racks, scene management, USB audio control, and various setup menus. The connection between the Qu-Pad app and the mixer is established through Wi-Fi, allowing you to make monitor adjustments on stage and roam freely around the venue while managing the PA. Ultimately, this flexibility enables you to mix the performance right from the audience's heart.
Equipped with 16 AnalogiQ Total Recall preamps, Qu-SB features zero crossing detection and an advanced padless 1dB step gain stage, closely integrated with its DSP for precise gain accuracy and exceptional audio clarity. The analog signal is processed through high-quality, low-latency 24-bit analog-to-digital converters that match 24-bit digital-to-analog converters, ensuring top-notch output quality. The design of the AnalogiQ preamps has been meticulously refined over several months to achieve superb audio transparency, minimal distortion, and a remarkably low noise floor. This results in a warm and musical sound that is often absent in many digital consoles.
The Qu-SB mixer includes 16 mono inputs (combining TRS and XLR connections), one stereo input (TRS), and features 12 onboard mix outputs (left/right, mono mix 1-4, stereo mix 1-3), as well as one stereo matrix output (TRS). It is powered by the Qu-32 core, which supports up to 32 mono and 3 stereo input channels, creating the capacity for up to 11 monitor mixes (4 mono and 7 stereo). Additional capabilities include four FX engines, four FX sends/returns, four mute groups, and four DCA groups.
Moreover, it features a 32x32 USB audio interface and allows for Qu-Drive direct multitrack recording/playback on USB drives. With recallable AnalogiQ preamps, a library of iLive effects, and the DSnake remote audio port expansion, which supports up to 38 inputs, the Qu-SB is a versatile device suitable for diverse audio mixing needs, whether used as a portable mixer, a professional studio interface, or a live performance setup.
